This slider was created as a part of my research in the Sung Robotics Lab focused on an underwater propulsion robot inspired by ocean salps. My design was a part of idealizing these highly efficient swimmers into multi-robot systems. The slider was designed to attach to one of these robots and constrain it to one degree of freedom with respect to a leading robot with the minimum possible friction. This would allow for the robots to converge to the optimal following distance during testing and give insight to the design of future multi-robot systems.
